Formerly known as the Polytechnic, a constituent college of the University of Malawi (1965), MUBAS was established under Act No. 19 of 2019 and officially de-linked from the University of Malawi in 2021. The University caters to over 7,000 full-time students who come from all three regions of the country and surrounding countries.
