About
EBCoM started as ‘Likubula Bible Institute’ in 1964, founded by Africa Evangelical Church, Evangelical Church of Malawi, SIM, Zambesi Mission, and Zambezi Evangelical Church.
The name was changed in 2001 to ‘Evangelical Bible College of Malawi’ in order to reflect more clearly the fact that we serve the evangelical Christian community at large from our location in Malawi.
The college is a member of the Evangelical Association of Malawi. The Certificate of Biblical Studies and the Diploma in Theology and Christian Ministry were accredited by Association for Christian Theological Education in Africa in 2004 and 2016.
The college was registered with the National Council for Higher Education (NCHE) in 2019. The Diploma Programme, the Bachelor of Theology, and the Bachelor of Christian Ministry with Education option were also registered
