The Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) – ODL is inviting applications from suitably qualified persons for admission into its undergraduate programmes for the 2020/2021 academic year which will commence in October 2021.

Other relevant information

• All applicants are required to submit their applications using UGCDB-2020/2021 Application Form for the 2020-2021 Academic Year.
• All applicants for mature entry bachelor’s programmes are required to submit their application using UGME-2020/2021 Application Form for 2020-2021 Academic Year.
• Additional requirements for admission Candidates must also meet the specific entry requirements for each Faculty/programme as outlined under the programme details section of the application form.
• Exclusion: Candidates who were withdrawn from any public university on academic grounds and those already registered with any public university are not eligible for admission.
• International students: International students are admitted using the same criteria for Malawian candidates. Successful international candidates are required to submit police clearance reports from their countries of origin and pay USD100 processing fee for a study permit, during their registration at LUANAR.

Application procedure

1. Address for obtaining and submitting application forms is The University Registrar, LUANAR, P.O. Box 219, Lilongwe, (Attention Admissions Office). The application forms can also be downloaded from www.luanar.ac.mw
2. A complete application package must include:
   1. An appropriate application form as indicated under sections 2(a) and 2(b) of the advert.
   2. Copies of all relevant degrees/diplomas/certificates/academic transcripts which have been indicated on the application form. These must be duly certified as true copies of the originals by a recognised Commissioner of Oaths
   3. Original proof of availability of funds for training
   4. Proof of payment of an appropriate application fee bearing the name of the applicant and the amount of application fee paid.
   5. Curriculum vitae (CV) with names and contact details of three traceable referees (only for mature entry applicants).
   6. Proof of English Language proficiency for international candidates whose first language is not English.
