The Malawi University of Business and Applied Sciences (formerly know as the Polytechnic) invites applications from suitable qualified candidates to enroll into 3-year, non-residential diploma programmes. All programs will run during weekends.
Specific Programme Requirements
- Faculty of Engineering
- Diploma in Mining Engineering
- Diploma in Geological Engineering
- Diploma in Metallurgy and Mineral Processing
- Diploma in Electronics and Computer Engineering
- Diploma in Telecommunications and Electronics Engineering
- Diploma in Automobile Engineering
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering
- Diploma in Fabrication and Welding Engineering
- Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering
- Diploma in Civil Engineering
- MSCE with six credits including English, Mathematics and Physical Science/General Science/Physics or Chemistry; or
- A-level with at least a C in English, Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry
- Diploma in Biomedical Engineering
- MSCE or O-Level with six credits including English, Mathematics, Physical Science/General Science/Physics or Chemistry and Biology; or
- A-level with at least a C in English, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry and Biology.
- Diploma in Industrial Laboratory Technology
- An MSCE or O level with 6 credits including English, Mathematics, Biology, Physical Science/ General Science/ Physics and Chemistry; or
- A level with at least a C in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
- Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health
- MSCE or O-Level with six credits including English, Mathematics, Physical Science (Physics or Chemistry) or General Science and Biology; or
- A-Level with at least a C in English, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry
- Diploma in Quantity Surveying
- Diploma in Land Economy
- Diploma in Land Surveying
- Diploma in Construction Technology
- MSCE with six credits including English, Mathematics and Physical Science/General Science/Physics or Chemistry; or
- A-level with at least a C in English, Mathematics and Physics or Chemistry.
- Diploma in Journalism
- MSCE (O-Level) with 6 credits including English and Mathematics; or
- MSCE (O-Level) with at least four credits including English and Mathematics and a Certificate in Journalism plus at least two years relevant
- work experience in the media industry. Candidates will be admitted into Year 2.

Annual Tuition Fees
Tuition fees per annum is K400 000.00. However, fees are subject to change anytime.
Note:
Candidates who were withdrawn from any university on academic grounds and those already registered with any public or any comparable university as residential, non- residential or mature students ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR ADMISSION.
