1. Post-Doctoral Research Associate in Genetics and Quantitative Genomics

A post-doctoral research associate position is available in the Soybean Genetics and Genomics Laboratory at the University of Missouri.

The successful candidate will work on the genetic analysis of soybean nematode resistance and development of novel germplasm through population genetics and genomics-based strategies. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in genetics, plant biology, or a related discipline with experience in molecular breeding, next generation sequencing based genomic applications in QTL dissection, and functional marker development.

Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative research environment are essential. Applications will be considered until a suitable candidate is identified. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Post-Doctoral Research Associate in Computational Genomics

A post-doctoral research associate position is available in the Soybean Genetics and Genomics Laboratory at the University of Missouri. The successful candidate will conduct genome wide association studies and haplotype analysis using large-scale whole genome sequencing resource to identify genes, structural variations, and genetic elements associated with seed composition and related agronomically traits in soybean. In addition, the incumbent will deploy multi-omics approach to understanding the genetic regulatory networks associated with genetic variation and trait associations. Applicants should have a Ph.D. in bioinformatics or related genetics and computational biology discipline with experience in next generation sequencing and applications. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to work well in a collaborative research environment are essential. Applications will be considered until a suitable candidate is identified. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
